WORKSHOP: The Animal Inside: Writing From Character

Bootleg Theater, 2220 Beverly Blvd , Los Angeles

As part of Solo Queens Fest community outreach, Amy will teach a workshop entitled, “The Animal Inside: Writing from Character” on November 17. Participants will crack writer’s block to access the ringing voice of a new or known character through timed, guided writing exercises designed to access the well of the subconscious; as well as through movement and psychological gesture. They will take home repeatable techniques to continue generate new material for performance, character study, or written storytelling. Open to actors and writers of all levels. Cost of the workshop is $30.
